Job Descriptions
Head Banker: Set up and manage class bank accounts on electronic banking site. High level of responsibility; full control of accounts. Applicant must have excellent computer skills, attendance and customer service skills. Honesty/integrity are a must. $800/month
Bonus Officer: Record student bonuses on the bonus logs and keep records for ease of auditing. $700/month
Fine Officer: Record student fines on the fine logs and keep records for ease of auditing. $700/month
Teller/Auditor: Analyze the banking folders (registers) of fellow classmates to ensure accuracy. Verify transactions and student accounts. Assist students who find banking difficult or are absent on banking days with keeping their resisters up-to-day. Verify transactions and students’ online accounts. Applicant should be organized, confident with basic math skills and detail oriented. $700/month
Attendance Monitor: Take daily attendance and record absences/tardies. Report absences to the teacher. Provide students with makeup work/materials when they return to class. Manages the bathroom pass. Applicant must have strong attendance record to be considered for this job. High level of honesty required. $750/month
Business Manager: Manages all other employees and holds them accountable for their tasks (makes sure they are fulfilling their duties). Fills in for any absent student if their position is needed. Applicant should be a leader, an encourager, demonstrate maturity, have the ability to reinforce accountability, and provide focus when others get off task. Completes Employee Evaluation Rubric. $800/month
Auctioneer: Determines appropriate and desirable auction items. Identify ways to obtain the items. Obtain sponsors/items for the auction. Manage the auction. Applicant must have organizational and planning skills. $650/month
Clerk: Operate teacher computer when asked (run videos, Slides...for Mrs.Wilson during class). Hand out papers and other materials to students. Pass out/collect papers and other items from students when asked. Organize the class supply shelves, resupply items as needed, keep printer filled, straighten classroom at the end of class, clean white boards as needed, manage recycling and classroom trash. Applicant should have excellent Mac skills, be able to operate Google Slides, class website, YouTube… Organizational skills are also a plus. $700/month
Utilities Manager: Monitor utility usage in the classroom. Record how many people plug in their phones and Chromebooks during class. Records student utility usage. Reports monthly usage for billing purposes. Applicant should enjoy crunching numbers/data and have a passion for the environment. $750/month
Insurance Agent: Sell insurance policies to students. Keep a detailed log of who purchased insurance each month, and record the damages that uninsured students must pay. Be able to provide an up-to-date log to the Accounts Officers/Auditors when required. Applicants must be detail oriented and be able to keep good records. $700/month
Visual Display Artist: Determine what type of information is presented on the class bulletin boards. Ensure that the bulletin boards are updated with relevant information. Applicants with artistic and creative abilities are encouraged to apply. $650/month
Fact Finder: Write one important, yet interesting MUST KNOW financial fact each week on the “1000’s of Things You Should Know” board. Applicant should be able to sift through a wide range of current financial information and choose what is most valuable for 15-18 year olds. $650/month
