Week 5: FL Classroom Economy Jobs
Find your job below and complete your assigned tasks during Directed Studies:
Head Banker:
Bonus Officers & Fine Officers: Get “Bank Notes” from Head Bankers and cut them out using the paper cutter.
Teller/Auditor: Analyze the banking folders (registers) of fellow classmates to ensure accuracy. Verify transactions and student accounts. Assist students who find banking difficult or were absent on banking days with keeping their resisters up-to-day. Verify transactions and students’ online accounts.
Attendance Monitor: Chill today. You’ve been working everyday during class. Do homework or something else quietly. Thanks for your hard work!
Business Manager: Manage all other employees and holds them accountable for their tasks (makes sure they are fulfilling their duties). Complete the Employee Evaluation Rubric (very important to keep up with this) for each employee. Help keep employees quiet and working during Directed Studies. Help out where you can so Mrs. Wilson can help where she’s needed most.
Auctioneer: Determines appropriate and desirable auction items. Hand out donation letters to each student and encourage them to be bringing in auction items and donations soon! (Are you thinking of donation ideas too???)
Class Clerk: Organize the class supply shelves, resupply items as needed, keep printer filled, straighten classroom at the end of class, clean white boards as needed, manage recycling and classroom trash. Do we need tissues? Ask for them in the main office.
Utilities Manager: Chill today. You’ve been working everyday during class. Do homework or something else quietly. Thanks for your hard work!
Insurance Agent: Run and record the insurance simulator. (If anyone was absent when you sold insurance last week you can see if they are here today and ask them if they want to purchase it. If they are absent two times, consider them uninsured for the whole month.)
Visual Display Artist: You have two options:

Fact Finder: Start a Google Doc with at least 3 ideas for the Fact Finder wall and “share” it with Mrs. Wilson. Title the Doc like this: Fact Finder, Your Name, Your Class Period

- Create “Bank Notes” in denominations of $50 and $100. Print 100 of each denomination using two different paper colors. Give them to the Bonus and Fine Officers to cut out. See Mrs. Wilson if you need help!
- Manage class bank accounts on electronic banking site as needed. Make any necessary corrections for mistakes students have made in their accounts.

- Draft a plan for a poster or bulletin board with a Financial Literacy theme that you want to create and present it to Mrs. Wilson before the next Directed Studies
- Talk to Mrs. Wilson about an idea she has for a bulletin board that she’d like you to create
